Originating in 1975 as the Paducah Summer Festival Photo Competition, Paducah Photo has grown from a fledgling contest into an international juried exhibition. Over the past 40 years, this exhibition has become one of the Mid-South’s most prestigious annual photographic events.
Call for Art: Mediated: An Urban Projection Event, Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN

On May 6, Indiana State University will host an exhibition of digital video and images projected onto urban buildings in downtown Terre Haute, IN. We welcome submissions of any digital imagery dealing with the theme of how technology impacts our relationships to the world around us.
This exhibition is being produced by a group of students studying arts administration. As part of a generation raised with ubiquitous and easily accessible mobile technology, we are interested in the ways phones, social media, and other tools for communication impact and complicate our relationships with others and our world. We are excited to see how other artists are exploring these issues.
All submissions will be included in the exhibit, provided they meet basic guidelines for public viewing.

The Aaron Siskind Foundation is offering a limited number of Individual Photographer’s Fellowship grants of up to $10,000 each, for artists working in photography and photo-based art. Recipients will be determined by a panel of distinguished guest judges on the basis of artistic excellence, accomplishment to date, and the promise of future achievement in the medium in its widest sense. The Foundation seeks to support artists/photographers who demonstrate a serious commitment to the field, who are professionally active or employed in the field. The entry fee for this grant is $20USD.

This is a very wide theme and you don’t have to take it literally, we travel many roads in life that are not asphalt. Color or BW, analog, digital or antique processes, photographers of all skill levels and locations are welcome.

$3,000 prize from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University honors the best documentary writing and photography in alternating years. The focus is on current or recently completed work (within the last five years). The next prize competition will be for photography.
