NOFF is looking to bring new media installations and experimental media artworks to the 2016 New Orleans Film Festival with an emphasis on virtual reality, video art, 360 video, light / projection mapping, new media performance, interactivity, and outdoor media installation. For consideration, please provide: a written proposal describing your project (no more than 500 words); a list of equipment you are able to provide and any/all specific equipment needs; ideal space requirements, including prospective lighting needs; any video, photos, stills, or sketches of your project.

Individual Visual Artists or Collaboratives working in any media are encouraged to apply to the Antenna: Open Call. One applicant working outside of Louisiana will be selected and awarded a solo show for the 2017 calendar year, given an honorarium of $1,000 (split amongst the group, if collaborative) paid shipping, paid travel to and from New Orleans for the install and opening of the exhibition, accommodations in Antenna’s residency space, and access to Antenna’s print facilities to publish an exhibition catalog or other similar ephemera to be determined by the artists.

The 6th Annual New Orleans Loving Festival is seeking original artwork and short films with themes concerning Love, Race, Identity and the Multiracial Experience for a juried group art exhibition from July 1st to August 6th at the Myrtle Banks Building Gallery. Please follow the guidelines below for consideration:

ART Submissions must include your bio or resume, high resolution photo(s) of the artwork and a description – including the title, size, medium and the year the artwork was created. Artwork created before 2013 should not be submitted for consideration.

SHORT FILM Submissions must include your bio or resume, a film synopsis and a web link to preview the film (or screener DVD).

You will need to create a Submittable User Account to submit your materials, and pay a $12 submission fee.

Open call for proposals for shows in the downstairs Reading Room 220 at Press Street/Antenna Gallery. Press Street’s mission is to promote art and literature. Successful proposals for Reading Room 220 shows will connect these two ideas.

Submissions should include a proposal for the space, an 8 by 8 foot wall. Proposals could be, but are not limited to:

-A curated selection of artists books.

-A chapbook with a writer and artist in mind with samples of both of their works.

-A show developed out of a newly published book.Books are not limited to traditionally published media. We are open to and encourage artists books, zines, book objects, sculptural books, one of a kind, and editioned books, etc.

Shows would be up for 1 month minimum and would have openings coinciding with the second Saturday openings upstairs at Antenna.
