The Atlanta Print Biennial is an international juried exhibition, open to all artists working in hand-pulled printmaking processes. Purchase awards and prizes will be given.
The exhibit is organized by Atlanta Printmakers Studio and hosted by Kai Lin Art, a contemporary art gallery located in the vibrant Westside District of Midtown Atlanta, GA.
This year the exhibit has moved to March so it will be on display during the 2017 SGC International Conference which is scheduled for March 15-18 in Atlanta.

The exhibition will be at the Mable House Arts Center, 5239 Floyd Rd SW, Mableton, GA 30126. $3000 in prizes and cash awards: Karen Beswick Founders Award $1,000; SCAA Award of Distinction $500, Four Awards of Excellence $250 each; and Four Awards of Merit $125 each.

Maria Sarmiento is a versatile, innovative, and talented studio artist and educator with extensive experience teaching sculpture at Kennesaw State University, Georgia State University, The Art Institute of Atlanta, Metro Academic Studies, and Sarmineto Studio LLC.

Hambidge provides a residency program that empowers talented artists to explore, develop, and express their creative voices. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space that inspires artists working in a broad range of disciplines to create works of the highest caliber. Call for Art: 6th Annual Armstrong National 2-D Competition Exhibition, Armstrong State University, Savannah, Georgia

The Fine Arts Gallery at Armstrong State University is proud to announce its 6th Annual Armstrong National 2‑D Competition Exhibition. Over the past five years we have had over a thousand art works submitted to this competition. Each year the judges select 30 finalists. We are proud to announce that online submission is now available for this most diverse 2-D competition. The show will feature 2-D artwork including, but not limited to, drawing, graphics, painting, textiles, printmaking, and photography. The artwork will be judged by Chris Valle, curator and art department chairperson at the University of Florida.
Exhibition Dates: December 14, 2016 – January 18, 2017.

ATHICA seeks work from contemporary artists in all media for the Second Annual Juried Exhibition, featuring juror Annette Cone-Skelton of MOCA GA. Submit work through 11:59 p.m. on August 15, 2016. An entry fee of $25.00 goes to sustain the gallery. ATHICA provides a limited number of fee waivers for those in financial need.
Call for Art: A Sense of Place, The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, Augusta, Georgia

The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art is pleased to announce its 2016 juried fine art competition, A Sense of Place. Open to participants from throughout the United States, this thirty-sixth annual event seeks to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work being generated by contemporary American artists
Three cash prizes will be given, including a $750 Best of Show Award and two $500 Juror’s Awards. At the juror’s discretion, additional non-cash Honorable Mention awards may also be presented. Award recipients will be announced on Friday, September 9, 2016, at the opening reception for A Sense of Place.
The 2016 juried fine art competition is open to all US artists age 18 and older. All works must be original, not previously exhibited at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, and completed on or after June 1, 2014. Work that predates this cut-off date will not be considered.
Entries in the following media will be accepted: painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. Film and video pieces are ineligible. Entries are not judged in media categories.

The Decatur Arts Alliance (DAA) presents the fourth edition of the juried exhibition of artists’ books, The Book as Art, August 19–September 30, 2016. This edition will appear for the first time at Decatur Branch of the DeKalb County Library. The show’s dates, from August 19 – September 30, 2016, encompass the AJC-Decatur Book Festival dates of September 2–4, 2016, which takes place each Labor Day weekend throughout the City of Decatur. The DAA will sponsor a festive opening on Friday, August 26, 2016.
