Art Instructor – Photography &
Art Instructor – Drawing/Printmaking
Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and 
methods of instruction to meet students’ needs and aspirations.
  • Explain and demonstrate artistic techniques.
  • Observe and evaluate pupils’ work to determine student progress and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Prepare students for exams or assessments.
  • Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
  • Ensure classrooms are stocked with adequate supplies.
Basic Qualifications

This job requires a High school degree or GED.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experiences:
  • Bachelors Degree in Art, BFA, MFA, MED
  • Published Artist
  • Experience as a teacher K-12
  • Experience displaying art in a studio or exhibit

 Job: One-Semester Lecturer in Art – Spring 2016, UNC Asheville, Asheville, North Carolina

(Art and Art History) – The Department of Art and Art History at the University of North Carolina at Asheville is seeking a one-semester lecturer. Areas of specialization: painting/drawing and 2D Foundations. Responsibilities: Teach three undergraduate courses spring semester 2016 (12 contact hours). Related duties include keeping regular office hours, studio facility management, and attending departmental meetings and events. Qualifications: MFA and teaching experience at a collegiate level required. Ability to teach beginning and intermediate oil painting and drawing courses as well as 2D foundations. Digital experience in 2D foundations is a plus.
