Call for Art: Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN

Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage juried art competition. Winning artwork will be used on the cover of the 2016 Wildflower Pilgrimage brochure, T-shirts, and publicity. The artist will have the opportunity to have a small exhibit in the Wolpert Gallery at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts from March 17 through April 24, 2016. The SWP is a five-day event celebrating the diverse flora and fauna of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This year’s theme is landscape. Any pieces that embody the spirit or characteristics of the Smoky Mountain National Park will be considered. Both traditional and abstract interpretations of the landscape will be accepted. Acceptable media include watercolor, gouache, pastel, colored pencil, oil, acrylic, printmaking, collage, or combinations of these media.

Call for Art: The Cube, Visual Art Exchange, Raleigh, NC

The Cube is an experimental and installation space programmed by Visual Art Exchange and located within the main gallery in Raleigh, NC. The space, a roughly 20×20′ box, is equipped with several electrical outlets and track lighting. The ceiling is 14 feet high. Artists are juried into the space. Exhibits will run for roughly 2 months, with 2 First Friday receptions.
The Cube is open to all living artists, artist teams and curators. Proposals must show promise and strong conceptual grounding. Preference will be given to experimental work, particularly installation, video and performance art. Applicants do NOT need to be VAE members, although the application fee is reduced for VAE members.
There are THREE different ways to apply for a Cube exhibit:As an individual artist, As an artist team (2-4 artists working together), As a curator (a non-artist coordinating a show of 2+ artists)
Call for Art: Four Rivers Biennial, Southern Illinois Printworks, Carbondale, Illinois

Southern Illinois Printworks, a student organization from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, is pleased to announce the first Four Rivers Print Biennial. This national call is open to both traditional and digital forms of printmaking. The exhibition will be held at a new gallery, 304, home of Carbondale Community Arts.
Juror: David Jones, Executive Director and Master Printer at The Center for Book, Paper and Print Arts at Columbia College, Chicago and current President of Southern Graphics Council International.

The 2016 statewide arts conference Collective Impact will be held in Murfreesboro, June 7-10, and the Commission is currently seeking session proposals. The conference will offer attendees information, guidance and expertise on how to address community issues through the arts. Is this your area? The Wright Art Center at Delta State University is pleased to accept exhibition proposals from individual artists, collaborative groups and curators. Call for Art: Square Foot Art Basel Miami, Projects Gallery, Miami Beach, Florida
Projects Gallery proudly announces its third edition of Square Foot Art Basel Miami. Once again during this year’s world-acclaimed Art Basel Miami, Projects Gallery will create a mosaic-style hanging that will cover all the walls in its Wynwood Lofts gallery in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami. Last year’s event showcased over 300 works from around the world. The first 100 artists to apply will automatically have on artwork on the wall.
NEW THIS YEAR! Twenty-four works will be shown in the gallery’s suite at the Aqua Art Fair December 2-6. These 24 works will be selected for special inclusion and curated from all the works submitted. Following the Aqua Art Fair, any unsold works will be placed in Project’s Wynwood location.
